DAAL RASAM


DAAL RASAM

Daal rasam is one of the easiest and delicious rasam recipes. Having plate full of hot rice with daal rasam in a winter is one of the best meal.



Ingredients:

1. Thoor daal – 1/2 Cup

2. Oil – 2 tea spoon

3. Mustard – 1 Tea spoon

4. Jeera – 1 Tea spoon

5. Green chilly – 5-6

6. Garlic – 6

7. Curry leaves

8. Salt

9. Turmeric – 1/4 Tea spoon

10. Coriander – 3 Stems

11. Lemon juice – 3 Table spoon

Procedure for making daal rasam:

1. Cook thoor daal in a cooker for 10-12 minutes.

2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, jeera, green chilly, garlic and curry leaves.

3. fry for 3-4 minutes.

4. Add the cooked daal to the pan.

5. Add salt as per your taste and turmeric.

6. Let it simmer.

7. Turn off the stove and add lemon juice and coriander.

Serves: 4

Tastes better with hot rice.

SECRET TIPS:

1. In any recipe, if you’re adding garlic never ever add asafoetida.

2. Don’t cook lemon juice. It makes the dish bitter.
