UDDIN VADA
Have you also felt like having vada whenever you make idli at home or whenever it’s pouring outside and feels like having a tasty snack. So here is it, the simple Uddin vada recipe.
Ingredients:
1. Urad daal – 1 Cup
2. Pepper – 2 Tea spoon
3. Salt
4. Baking soda – 1/2 Tea spoon
5. Rice flour – 1 Table spoon
6. Chopped coconut – 2 Table spoon
7. Coriander – 1 Table spoon
8. Onion – 1
9. Green chilly – 6
10. Oil – to deep fry
Procedure for making uddin vada:
1. Soak urad daal in water for just 1/2 an hour.
2. Grind the urad daal into fine paste without adding water.
3. Add pepper in the last round of grinding and shift the batter to a bowl.
4. Add salt, baking soda, rice flour, chopped coconut, coriander, onion, green chilly to it and mix well.
5. Take a handful of batter in the left hand, make a hole in the centre and deep fry until it becomes golden brown.
Serves: 5
Tastes better with chutney.
SECRET TIPS:
Double deep fry for it to be more crispy.
