VEGETABLE SAAGU

Vegetable saagu goes very well with poori and dose. This saagu containes most of the vegetables and nutritious. This is the best recipe to make your kid eat all healthy.

Ingredients for vegetable saagu :

List A:

1. Mix vegetables ( Beans, carrot, beetroot, knol khol, chayote) – 1 Cup

2. Oil – 1 Tablespoon

3. Mustard – 1 Teaspoon

4. Curry leaves – 2 stems

List B:

1. Grated coconut – 1/4 Cup

2. Roasted gram – 2 Teaspoon

3. Ginger – 1 Inch

4. Garlic – 1/2

5. Green chilly – 6

6. Coriander powder – 1 Teaspoon

7. Cinnamon – 1/2 stick

8. Cloves – 2

9. Cashew nut – 6

10. Mint leaves – 7-8 stems

11. Poppy seeds – 1 Teaspoon

Procedure:

1. Cook all the vegetables in a cooker for 8-10 minutes.

2. Grind all the ingredients in the list B.

3. Add the above prepared mixture to the cooked vegetables and let it simmer.

4. Add salt as per your taste.

5. In a pan, add oil, mustard and curry leaves.

6. Add the oil mixture to the vegetable saagu and serve.

Serves: 6

Tastes better with poori and dosa.
