Capsicum rice is one of the finest Break fast recipe which you can have in this chilled weather. Tastes better when it’s hot and spicy. you can have it with or without chutney.
1. Rice – 1 Cup 2. Capsicum – 2 3. Oil – 3 Table spoon 4. Mustard – 1 Tea spoon 5. Jeera – 1 Tea spoon 6. Curry leaves 7. Green chilly – 6 8. Green peas – 100g 9. Coriander Leaves 10. Grated coconut – 1/2 cup 11. Lemon juice – 3 Table spoon 12. Salt
Procedure for making capsicum rice:
1. In a cooker, add 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice and let it cook. 2. In a pan, heat the oil and add mustard, jeera, curry leaves, green chilly, capsicum and green peas. 3. Saute it until the capsicum and green peas become soft. 4. In a seperate bowl, take the rice and add above prepared mixture. 5. Add salt, lemon juice and grated coconut as per your taste. 6. Garnish it with Coriander and serve. Serves: 3 If you take dry green peas then you have to soak it over night before cooking. You can have it with chutney if you like.
