CHEESE GARLIC BREAD

Cheese garlic bread is a dough stuffed with cheese and chopped garlic cloves mixed with melted butter and topped with oregao, chilly flakes and other herbs. It can also be made with a bread loaf topped with garlic and melted butter.

Ingredients for cheese garlic bread:

1. Maida/ all purpose flour – 1 cup 2. Milk – 1/4 cup 3. Yeast – 1 teaspoon 4. Sugar – 1 tablespoon 5. Salt – 1 teaspoon 6. Chilly flakes – 1 tablespoon 7. Butter – 1 tablespoon+1/4 cup 8. Garlic – 1 whole 9. Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon 10. Mozzarella cheese – 1 cup

Procedure for making cheese garlic bread:

1. In a mixing bowl, add milk, yeast and sugar and leave it for 5minutes. 2. Once the yeast is activated, add maida, salt, butter and form a dough. 3. keep it aside for 2 hours. 4. In a small bowl, add melted butter, crushed garlic, chopped coriander and mix well. 5. Once the dough raises to it’s double after 2 hours, knead for 10minutes. 6. Press the dough like chapathi but little thicker than that. 7. Grease the butter Garlic mixture on the spreaded dough, sprinkle some chilly flakes, add cheese at the half of the spreaded dough and close it with other half. 8. Grease butter garlic mixture on the outside. 9. Pre-heat the oven at 180°c and bake for 20-30 minutes. 10. Serve hot with ketchup. Makes 2 big cheese garlic bread.

SECRET TIPS:

 The more you knead, softer the bread.

I couldn’t find chilly flakes since it’s lockdown. So i made it myself. If you too can’t find anywhere you can make it by yourself easily at home. 1. In a pan, add 10-15 dry chilly, 2 teaspoon Jeera, 5 cloves garlic and handful of curry leaves. 2. Dry roast them for 3-5 minutes and grind it coarsely.  And TAN-TA-DA it’s ready.
